Canadian Government announces $828000 grant for research led by Chinese virology lab in Wuhan, where evidence is mounting that the COVID-19 outbreak began.

“This research addresses the urgent need of rapid point-of-care diagnostics of COVID-19. The collaborative research is conducted by a multi-disciplinary team of virologists, chemists, infectious disease specialists, front-line practitioners, and public health researchers from the University of Alberta, Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and Wuhan Institute of Virology (China).”

With the Wuhan lab under increased scrutiny based on evidence that may prove the COVID-19 pandemic is the result of poor handling protocols at said lab, do you think it's wise for our government to offer that same lab funding for further COVID-19 research? Share your thoughts!
