There is 1 new case in the Atlantic Bubble today, it's in NS and the person is in the ICU. The new case is in Western Zone and is related to travel outside of Canada. The case is currently under investigation by Public Health. This means there is 1 active case in PEI, 1 in NS, 3 in NB and 1 in NFLD, none known to be related to the Atlantic Bubble itself. In NS, 53/65 (82%) NS deaths are from Northwood and 57/65 (88%) are from long term care in general (11 different facilities have reported cases, none have an active case). Yesterday, 681 tests were completed with 1 new case reported.

Note, it seems highly unlikely that we would have a new case that goes immediately to ICU. One would assume they would first be sick, and as it progressed they would end up in hospital and then ICU. It's possible that someone may have ignored all symptoms and never bothered to get tested until they had to go to ICU. However, what seems more likely is this person is in ICU for a different reason and during routine testing, it was established that they also happen to have COVID-19. Keep in mind this is all speculation, we will see if the Province elaborates in any way as time goes on.
