There are 26 new cases in the Atlantic Bubble today, 3 in NS, 3 in NFLD and 20 in NB; NS also reports 1 recovery. 2 of the new cases in NS are related to travel outside of Canada, and the 3rd is a close contact of them. The people have been self-isolating, as required. None of the cases is related to the outbreak in New Brunswick, all are in the central zone. All three new casesbin NFLD are females in the Western Health region under 19 years old. The women are close contacts of a previous case and are members of the same extended household. There is no risk of transmission to the community. In NB, 12 of the new cases are in Moncton (zone 1), 9 related to the existing outbreak and 3 are under investigation; all are isolating. 7 cases are in Campbellton zone 5 and related to the outbreak in that zone, all are isolating. There is 1 case in zone 3 (Fredericton) which is travel related, an individual aged 50-59. This means there are 3 active cases in PEI, 5 in NS, 57 in NB and 9 in NFLD, none known to be related to the Atlantic Bubble itself. In NS, 53/65 (82%) NS deaths are from Northwood and 57/65 (88%) are from long term care in general (11 different facilities have reported cases, none have an active case). Yesterday, 743 tests were completed with 3 new cases reported.

From the Press Release:
We (NS) are closely monitoring the situation in New Brunswick, and we are in contact with our counterparts in that province. The border security policy is not changing for the moment.

Dr Russell - The source of the outbreak in the Manoir Notre-Dame (Moncton) is "associated with travel," while the source of the Campbellton cases is under investigation.

There is a case in a 2nd school in zone 5 (Acadamie Notre Dame, town of Dalhousie) in NB.

Masks in schools in orange zones are now required at all time, unless there are medical reasons, which are few.
